Prick tests may be ordered in the evaluation of patients with suspected allergies or to reassess their allergic status. The number of prick tests can range from 0 to >153. Since insurance companies have placed limits on prick testing, we consider this also when we order prick tests and try to keep the number of tests below the mandated limits.
